Blackmores consumers are increasingly concerned with product authenticity and want to know, what’s in the products they purchase, where the ingredients come from and where they were made. In fact, in Asia, ~90% of consumers tell us that they are concerned about counterfeit vitamin and dietary supplements. 1
At Blackmores we go to extraordinary lengths to have visibility over our supply chain and ensure the products we are selling are safe, effective and high quality.
Our commitment to quality doesn’t end in our distribution centre and we understand the need to give our consumers confidence in the products they purchase both online and at shelf.
We have partnered with Trustcodes to develop technology that can provide our consumers with assurance that the products they are buying are genuine and made to our high-quality standards.
Blackmores is piloting ‘Connected Bottles’ – the addition of serialised QR codes on two Blackmores products - Omega Triple 150s and Glucosamine 1500 180s.
Using serialised QR code means that every unit produced has a different QR code on it and the unique nature of these codes means that we can trace the provenance journey of each individual product from the source of ingredients to the store or location where the product is sold and then where the consumers scans it for authenticity.
Blackmores ‘Connected Bottles’ provides you with more information about where your product is made, verifies its authenticity and makes it easier than ever before to access information about what you are buying.
