A study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine reviewed six clinical trials on erectile dysfunction that included a follow-up of at least six weeks of lifestyle modification. The summary of studies included 740 participants with an average age of 55.4 years, and the findings demonstrated significant improvement in erectile function associated with lifestyle changes. According to the researchers, this study adds to and strengthens existing knowledge that healthy dietary habits and increased physical activity are important to improve the sexual health of men. The researchers also noted that men with erectile dysfunction represent a specific population that may be especially motivated to adopt healthy lifestyle practices to improve their sexual health
